Contact Christine Kobik
Christine Kobik is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Art Therapist. She has over 15 years of experience in the mental health field. Christine’s approach to care integrates CBT, DBT, ACT, Art Therapy and mindfulness training to help children, teens, and adults. Her focus is on depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, ADHD, and recovery from trauma. In addition, Christine has an understanding of family systems which she uses to assist clients in developing healthy relationships and repairing strained ones. Christine’s emphasis is on providing person-centered, evidence-based services. This helps empower clients and offer opportunities for transformative change.
A California native, Christine began working with people with intellectual disabilities then transitioned to inner city youth in San Francisco. She has extensive experience with children, teens, and adults who are on the Autism Spectrum and/or have emotional challenges. After graduating with a BA degree from San Francisco State University, Christine moved to Pittsburgh in 2006. She earned her Master’s degree in Counseling and Art Therapy from Seton Hill University. Most recently, Christine worked in a college setting as a counselor and teaching psychology courses. In addition, she worked as an outpatient therapist at a local hospital system.
Over the years Christine has developed a love for the city and the countryside where she equally enjoys biking, hiking, kayaking, and the culture that the city offers through the arts, museums, dining and festivals.
