Stephanie Kent, licensed professional counselor, strives to build a collaborative relationship with her clients. She fosters an affirming environment with a focus on being present in the moment. Stephanie helps clients as they identify options and strategies to implement change in manageable steps. She believes that effective therapy is a catalyst that fuels a client’s quest for a richer future and a full, productive life.
Stephanie started her career in Florida assisting with the VA vocational rehabilitation program and with readjustment counseling for veteran’s struggling with PTSD symptoms. When she moved to Pennsylvania, she worked for the Pennsylvania Office of Vocational Rehabilitation for 8 years. Stephanie has a holistic approach and integrates various techniques in order to develop a solution that is effective and appropriate for the client. Stephanie’s professional background includes working with clients through the PA Office of Vocational Rehabilitation.
Stephanie is from the Pittsburgh area and attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania for a bachelor of science in Marketing. After living in the Midwest and working in the corporate world she decided to shift careers. She obtained a MS Degree through the Rehabilitation Counseling program at Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL and returned to the Pittsburgh region in 2009.
In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys attending Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra concerts at Heinz Hall.
