I am a provider at our Washington clinic who provides therapy services in-person and via telehealth. I have a Master’s of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I also hold my NCC certificate (National Certified Counselor). I have received a post-baccalaureate certificate in spiritual ethical and religious counseling. I am open to working with all populations and ages, and creating the most beneficial and healthy therapeutic experience and environment for each client.
My ideal client is any individual that is 18+. I have most experience with adults, who specifically have mood disorders, psychotics disorders and personality disorder. I have worked extensively with those who have Bipolar Diagnoses, Schizoaffective Disorder and those with Borderline Personality Disorder.
I believe that the most important traits for therapist to embody are compassion, listening skills and the ability to communicate. Therapists need to have compassion as well as empathy so that they can connect with their clients, listening skills so that their clients feel seen and heard, and the ability to communicate with their clients in positive ways.
As a therapist, I promote empathy and building a strong therapeutic alliance with all of my clients. And in doing so, forming the necessary trust, gaining connection, and conducting sessions as “it is not one size fits all approach” can promote a successful and positive treatment outcome, which is what all clients deserve.
