George Bagovich, LCSW
George Bagovich is a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field including: 10 years in clinical research with training in neuropsychology and neurology that produced specialized skills in neuropsychological assessment with clients suffering from disorders such as Traumatic Brain Injury, stroke, ADHD, and chemical exposure; multiple years as a psychotherapist in the Outpatient Mood Disorders Clinic at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic with specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); and 4 years as a clinician for a National Institute of Mental Health funded study on the impact of personality disorders on interpersonal or social functioning.
George’s approach to care with his clients integrates CBT, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness skills in helping adult clients struggling with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, relationship difficulties and long-standing personality-based challenges. George’s emphasis is on providing high quality, evidence-based services in a highly personalized, caring manner.
George is a native to Pittsburgh who did graduate study in learning and cognition and obtained his Master’s degree in psychiatric counseling from the University of Pittsburgh. Outside of his professional endeavors, George has a passion for music and for restoring classic cars.
