Jamie Cocuzzi Harkins is a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in providing therapy to children, adolescents, adults and families. For more than 8 years, Jamie has gained experience working in various clinical and community settings, including community mental health agencies, family support programs, a psychiatric hospital, and adolescent group homes. She has also worked in a consultative role with eight area school districts, assisting in linking children and families to appropriate resources.
Jamie’s therapeutic approach focuses on skill-building using a strengths-based approach rooted in cognitive-behavioral therapy and family systems therapy. Jamie has experience helping clients with a wide range of therapeutic needs, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral issues, anger management and stress management.
Jamie is native to Pittsburgh, and pursued both undergraduate and graduate degrees at Duquesne University ultimately earning a Master’s of Education in Counselor Education. On a personal note, Jamie loves animals, is a big baseball fan and is an exercise enthusiast.
