Joceyln Scherer grew up in a Pittsburgh suburb. She approaches each work day with the chance to learn something new and the desire to accomplish every task she can. She is a very detail oriented administrator and takes pride in her work. After graduating high school, Jocelyn attended Penn State University where she studied International Politics. After coming home from college, she started working as a residential aide at a local nursing home. A few years later she was a certified Med Tech with a specialty in Diabetic treatment support. After working as a Med Tech for six years performing direct patient care, New Directions Counseling had the privilege of hiring her as an administrative assistant. She quickly learned each job that promotes efficient office functioning on a daily basis. Jocelyn has been managing the practice’s monthly billing for the past few years and continues to be in a presence in the front office. Her ability to communicate well with clients and helping in any way possible paved the way to Assistant Office Manager. When not at work, Jocelyn enjoys reading, building puzzles and spending time with her husband and two dogs, Rayna and Hodor.
