Kim Haas, LCSW
Kim Haas is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years experience in various aspects of both the mental health and substance abuse fields. She has extensive experience working with adults of all ages struggling with anxiety, depression and other mood disorders, substance abuse, relationship struggles, and adjusting to change/life transitions including loss.
Kim brings a client-centered, strengths-based approach to counseling incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness and Relaxation Skills in her work with her clients. She believes that everyone possesses an inner strength and resilience that allows them to overcome obstacles in their lives and create the life they wish to live. She sees therapy as a means for individuals to tap into the capacity for creating positive change and a sense of empowerment.
Kim earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh and has resided in the Pittsburgh area for the last 29 years. She is an avid outdoors person, spending her free time hiking, biking, and, most recently, kayaking and mountain biking.
