Clinical Mental Health Counselor

My ideal client includes individuals who are wanting to deal with concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress-management, and strained relationships and dynamics, in addition to individuals who are motivated to change, work on coping skills, and allow for personal growth through self-reflection.

As a pre-licensed therapist, I have experience in providing individual and group therapy to adult clients and youth from diverse backgrounds both within a school-setting and an outpatient setting that offered intensive outpatient services. I have experience in treating anxiety disorders, depression, family issues, stress-management, emotion regulation, and life changes. My therapeutic approach primarily stems from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and elements of DBT, which includes helping clients understand their feelings and change unhealthy thought patterns and behaviors.

Another therapeutic approach that I utilize is Gestalt Therapy, which focuses on the here-and-now and increasing client awareness. Strength-Based Therapy and Solution-Focused-Brief Therapy (SFBT) may also be utilized depending on individual needs.

I care about my clients and aim to create a strong therapeutic alliance; my goal is to create a safe and judgement-free space for individuals to feel heard and validated. I believe collaborating with individuals and including them in the counseling process is a necessary and important step in ensuring the comfortability of clients and helping them stay engaged. I tailor my approach to individual client needs and meet them where they are at.
