If a change affects your appointments, our team will communicate with you directly.
In most cases, you will continue seeing your current provider. If a provider change is needed, our team will contact you directly and work with you to ensure a smooth transition of care.
New Directions Mental Health and NeuroPsychiatry Center are combining practices and Electronic Medical Records (EMRs). You may receive some communications from the new EMR (Valant) and branded as New Directions Mental Health while we finalize our systems integrations. These are not errors. If you received an invitation for MYIO (our new portal), please accept and setup your account. In the future you will also receive messages like appointment reminders and newsletters from Valant.
We are committed to ensuring that our services remain accessible to our clients. If there are any changes that affect your care, you will be notified.
Over time, you will begin to see the name “New Directions Mental Health” appear on documents or in communications. This represents our partnership with a larger network dedicated to mental health excellence. However, seeing this name does not indicate a change in the care you receive, insurance acceptance, or the services available to you.

New Directions Mental Health is a group of local outpatient mental health care clinics dedicated to transforming lives across southwestern Pennsylvania by offering quality, easily accessible mental health care. We believe everyone should have access to quality mental health care, so we accept most major insurance plans, including Medicaid and Medicare. We offer in-person visits at our local clinics or through convenient telehealth appointments.
We offer a full suite of personalized mental health services, including therapy, psychiatry, and medication management. We are also proud to offer innovative and life-changing interventional psychiatry services including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, and Spravato® treatments. Our clinical team includes licensed and unlicensed therapists, board-certified psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and clinical support team members who provide services to children, adolescents, and adults.
