It has been my privilege to work for many years as a physician, watching the field of psychiatry evolve and learning from my interaction with patients and families. I find great satisfaction engaging with children, adolescents and adults to develop a shared understanding of each person’s situation, their problems, strengths and relationships, identifying and implementing options that support positive change.
Together we mobilize resources, including the benefits of psychiatric medication, to help people get their lives on track and realize the goals they desire. I am also involved in leadership roles in national professional organizations and bring the lessons of research and innovation from that national experience to the InterCare treatment team. My perspective is shaped by what I have learned from all the patients I have treated through the years.
