Angelo Barberio, MSW

Master of Social Work

My name is Angelo Barberio, and I am a Master of Social Work (MSW) graduate from the University of Pittsburgh. I offer therapy services at our Bloomfield clinic.

I have experience working with individuals ages 18 and older in a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) setting as a Behavioral Health Therapist I intern. I took an extensive class on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). My goal is to provide quality care, using my education, to all individuals regardless of race, ethnicity, sexuality, religion, and beliefs. I believe in accepting all individuals for who they are and want people to feel comfortable telling anything that they feel the need to share in a safe, therapeutic space.

Together in the space, we can explore thoughts and feelings and utilize problem solving skills using techniques from DBT, CBT, or psychotherapy. Having an open dialogue and navigating problems in a step-by-step manner is the approach I take to help individuals in need.

I believe that displaying empathy and validating the client’s concerns are priority when it comes to building a therapeutic relationship. Giving tools and resources, while providing open communication and meeting the client where they are at, is vital for success.
