Mental Health Counselor
Hello! I’m Bella Enfield, a new therapist at New Directions Mental Health in Fox Chapel. I have experience working with children, teenagers, and older adults in school and outpatient settings. My goal is to provide a space where you feel comfortable and understood. As in my training in intellectual and developmental disabilities, we will find creative ways to meet goals. I use a person-centered, strengths-based approach to explore anxieties, fears, big emotions, and life events with my clients. In our work, you can expect your experiences to be heard and valued and met with open-mindedness and acceptance as we build skills together.
Together, we’ll create a space where you can safely explore your thoughts and emotions. With techniques like mindfulness and distress tolerance, we will build the skills you need to face adversity and break unhelpful cycles with confidence and compassion. We’ll work on better understanding yourself and fostering relationships with what you value.
I believe that asking for help is one of the bravest and hardest things a person can do. It’s hard work and reaching out is a great first step on the path to wellness. You are the only you in the world and you matter. If you are ready, I would be honored to make the journey with you. I look forward to working with you as you discover the person you are.
