Denise is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) at our Wexford -Stonewood clinic who provides therapy services in-person and via telehealth. She has 17+ years in the mental health field.  Denise strives to provide a safe haven for individuals and couples to share their problems and issues while developing a collaborative, therapeutic relationship where the client can solve life challenges.  Denise offers an eclectic approach to therapy by catering to her client’s individual needs with a focus on CBT, interpersonal therapy, and mindfulness skills with exploration into past experiences as needed.  Denise works with adults with a variety of issues, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, recovery from trauma, relationship difficulties, adjustment issues, and persistent mental illness.

Denise received a BS in Psychology and a MSW from the University of Pittsburgh.  She spent 6 years doing clinical research with training in neuro-psychological and psychological testing with individuals suffering with autism and Down’s syndrome, as well as with military veterans with schizophrenia.  Denise also has 10 years of clinical experience providing therapy to adults and couples in an outpatient setting.

Denise is originally from the eastern part of Pennsylvania, and settled in Pittsburgh after enjoying all the city had to offer while completing her undergraduate and graduate programs at the University of Pittsburgh.  Denise enjoys reading and being active with her family including engaging in and watching sports (basketball is her favorite!).
