Dr. Daniel Dulaney is a psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner at our Wexford – VIP Drive clinic who provides psychiatry services in-person and via telehealth. He is trained and certified to provide care to patients from across the lifespan. He specializes in treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder, mood disorders, anxiety disorders including obsessive-compulsive disorder, and ADHD. A large part of the care Dan provides includes behavior adjustment recommendations. This helps minimize medications and to promote patients taking control of their lives. By using this approach, a trusting and therapeutic relationship can be developed with the patient at the center. Educating patients is paramount to Dr. Dulaney. The more information patients knows about themselves and their illness, the better they will be prepared to address concerns and recognize early signs of symptoms starting to become more serious.
Dan grew up in the south Pittsburgh area. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Chatham University, and then went on to Robert Morris University for both his Master’s and Doctorate degrees. Prior to his dedication to psychiatric care, Dan attended the University of Pittsburgh for astronomy and physics.
