Greg Schratz, MA, NCC

Mental Health Counselor | Nationally Certified Counselor

Hello! My name is Greg Schratz, I am Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) at the McCandless Clinic in the North Hills of Pittsburgh. I welcome adults & teenagers who seek individual, couples and family therapy. My practice is LGBTQ+ affirming, open to all experiences of gender and sexuality. I offer counseling for those experiencing religious deconstruction. I have experience working with individuals who have trauma, ADHD, anxiety, depression and addictions. I believe that any reason to start therapy is a good reason, whether that be seeking treatment for a mental health condition or seeking counsel for your current season of life.

By exploring your inner world, we’ll work toward helping your most grounded and confident Self take the lead with more calm, clarity and confidence. I use a systemic lens, which means I pay attention to how your relationships, community, and larger environment shape your experiences and wellbeing. I consider the whole person – body, mind and spirit.

There are no bad parts to us, even the parts we are shameful of! Seeking therapy is a sign that you are already thinking about change. If you are looking for a therapist that can sit with the challenges and celebrate your joys, I would be happy to be at your side! If this resonates with you, I invite you to reach out to schedule for your first session.
