Kari Ann Noechel, MA, LCSW, Clinic Director

Licensed Clinical Social Worker | Clinic Director

I am the Clinic Director at our South Side Flats clinic.

I am especially passionate about working with couples who are struggling with conflict, emotional distance, and challenges with intimacy. Many of the couples I work with feel stuck in patterns of negative interactions, hurt, and loneliness within their relationship. Together, we focus on reducing conflict, rebuilding trust, and increasing meaningful, positive connection so that both partners feel emotionally safe and understood.
My primary approach to couples therapy is grounded in the Gottman Method. I often incorporate The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work into our work, guiding couples through exercises that help strengthen their relationship both in and outside of session. We actively practice communication skills, explore real-life conflicts, and identify patterns such as the four conflict styles. Through role-play, skill-building, and guided discussions, I help couples work through unresolved challenges and develop healthier ways of relating to each other.
I am licensed in Pennsylvania and bring over 20 years of professional experience to my work. In addition to couples therapy, I have extensive experience supporting clients with:
  • Stress and anxiety
  • Family conflict
  • Trauma and abuse
  • Motivation, self-esteem, and confidence
My approach is rooted in creating a warm, open, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe sharing their thoughts and emotions. I believe that seeking support takes courage, and I am committed to helping each client move toward a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
