Licensed Social Worker

My ideal client is someone who is motivated to do the work and genuinely wants to be in therapy. They have likely had therapy before and are not attending due to a mandate. I specialize in working with autistic individuals, the LGBTQ+ population, TAY, adults, elderly individuals, and, on a case-by-case basis, children and families. My focus areas include supporting clients with disability and identity exploration, managing chronic illnesses, breaking harmful cycles, and navigating transitions and major life changes.

I hope that I will “help”. Most of the helping part happens in conversation. I can guarantee that I will listen, hold space and try to get to know you. I usually allow for a few sessions to understand what your goals are and try to meet you each time with fresh perspectives. I tend to think outside of the box and focus more on your goals, rather than just your thoughts. I tend to enjoy a team approach that combines shorter term evidence based approaches with a more realistic world view of your needs.
