Clinical Mental Health Counselor

Hi, I’m Mel. I’m a Clinical Mental Health Counselor with a particular interest in couples, military families, caregivers of elderly loved ones, grief, trauma, disordered eating, substance use, and in helping adults navigate life transitions. I provide therapy services at our Robinson clinic.

My style is warm, down-to-earth, pragmatic, and nonjudgmental. I believe therapy should be a place where you can show up as yourself—including the messy, imperfect, very human parts—without feeling like you need to have everything figured out. I will follow your lead, support you and gently guide you as you explore your thoughts, feelings, and areas of life where you seek change.

I take a whole-person approach to wellness. Our minds, bodies, relationships, experiences, and the systems around us are deeply connected. My background in both mental health counseling and health and wellness shapes my work, which incorporates family-systems perspectives, mindfulness, and an awareness of the mind-body connection and somatic principles.

We can make sense of unhelpful patterns, recognize what’s already working, and find practical ways forward. Understanding how you got here matters—but so does deciding where you want to go next. I will follow your lead, support you and gently guide you as you explore your thoughts, feelings, and areas of life where you seek change.
