Intern
Hello! My name is Michelle Jackson and I am a Counseling Intern under supervision at the Monroeville clinic.
I enjoy working with clients of all ages and backgrounds. I’m particularly passionate about supporting parents & members of the LGBTQ+ community. I deeply appreciate openness and willingness to grow. I began my career with children diagnosed with ADHD, Autism-Spectrum Disorder, ODD, and anxiety. I worked in a treatment center for adults diagnosed with Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, and Bipolar Disorder. I co-facilitated a counseling group focused on identity and stress-management during graduate school.
I approach counseling from a strengths-based & trauma-informed perspective. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship, built on openness, empathy, and trust, is the core of change in counseling. I make it a priority to recognize lived experiences and individual goals. I integrate Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Family Systems in counseling.
I enjoy reading, baking, & art!
Whether you are navigating daily stressors, challenging relationships, or significant life transitions, it is my intention to provide a safe, structured, and supportive space where you feel heard and empowered to thrive.
