Social Worker

My name is Victoria Taylor, and I’m a therapist who is passionate about creating a safe, welcoming, and judgment-free space where you can feel comfortable being yourself. I provide therapy services at our Meadowlands clinic.

I believe that beginning therapy can be a big step, and I want my clients to know that they don’t have to have everything figured out before they walk through the door.I have a background in family-based therapy, where I’ve had the opportunity to work with children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing a variety of emotional, behavioral, relational, and life challenges. My experience has taught me the importance of looking at the whole person and understanding that everyone’s story, experiences, strengths, and challenges are different. My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, trauma-informed, and strengths-based. I utilize approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and attachment-based concepts. I don’t believe there is a “one-size-fits-all” approach to therapy, so I work with each client to find strategies and interventions that feel meaningful and appropriate for them. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, adults, and families who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional or behavioral concerns, trauma, relationship or family difficulties, life transitions, communication challenges, or simply feeling overwhelmed by what life has placed in front of them.
Most importantly, I want therapy to feel like a place where you can be honest about what you’re going through without feeling judged. You don’t have to go through difficult seasons alone. Whether you’re working through something from your past, struggling with something happening right now, or simply want to better understand yourself, I’m here to walk alongside you.

Therapy looks different for everyone, and I believe your treatment should be tailored to you. My goal is to provide a supportive space where you can slow down, process what you’re experiencing, better understand yourself, and develop tools that you can carry with you outside of therapy.I have a particular interest in working with children, adolescents, adults, and families who are navigating emotional, behavioral, relational, and life challenges.

I want my clients to know that I’m a real person, too. I understand that life can feel overwhelming at times, and asking for support can be difficult. I believe that everyone deserves a space where they can feel heard, respected, and accepted for who they are. I will never expect you to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. Instead, I’ll meet you where you are, listen without judgment, and walk alongside you as we work toward the changes you want to make. If you’re ready to take that first step, I would be honored to hear your story and begin this journey with you.
