Clinical Mental Health Counselor | National Certified Counselor
Hello, I’m Sarah, a clinician at our Monroeville clinic who provides therapy services!
I’m a native to the area, looking to serve the communities which helped to shape me. I’ve been working in mental health for 6 years, most of that time spent working in child welfare, specifically within foster care and related services. I have experience with people from all walks of life, specifically those dealing with anxiety, family conflict, trauma, ADHD/Autism, LGPTQ+ issues, domestic violence, depression, and those in recovery from substance abuse. I enjoy working with folks of all ages who have a desire to grow as individuals and take control of their personal narrative.
I support your growth by utilizing Narrative Therapy strategies to help you re-write your story. I like to incorporate pop-culture and multimedia into sessions, getting to know you through the “stories” that speak to you. We can talk about that show you’re bingeing and how it helps you feel better, or what that album means to you. There’s always a story.
I strive to create an inclusive and non-judgmental space where clients can express themselves freely. Asking for help should be met with empathy and understanding. I can’t wait for us to get started.
