Licensed Professional Counselor

Hello there! I’m Zak Buerkle, a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience in working with multiple age groups from teenagers to our elders in an outpatient setting. I offer therapy services at our Wexford VIP Drive clinic.

My goal is to meet you where you are and explore what is important to you in order to function to your fullest and process through the weights of your world. Drawing from my background in Solution-Focused and Reality therapies, I focus on what your strengths currently are and how to increase them; I examine the five basic needs of humanity to see how they can be best met for you. I strive to listen fully and actively to my clients to collaborate on their care.

Together, we will create a safe and accepting place to explore the work you wish to partake in. Using techniques like solution-focused therapy and reality therapy, I help create communication and exploration around your strengths to best manage your ability to face life’s challenges and adjustments.

I believe that people are stronger and more capable than they often believe. Saying you are willing to explore your mental health takes courage. I commend anyone who is looking to explore this side of themselves. You are the expert of you; I am not here to tell you what to do.
