Dan Nuzzo is a Licensed Professional Counselor at our Wexford – VIP Drive clinic who provides therapy services in-person and via telehealth. He has more than 6 years of experience treating adolescents and adults. After earning his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Geneva College, Dan has gained experience in a variety of settings including community-based, primary care, private practice and school-based. Dan works with adolscents and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, panic disorders, social anxiety, anger and stress management, ADHD, and grief and loss. He is also LGBTQ affirmative. His approach to counseling is Person-centered with use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Dan has deep respect for the personal, unique life experiences and story each client brings to counseling. He places a strong emphasis on building a connection so that clients can feel comfortable with the process of creating change.
Dan’s goal is to create a warm, inviting and non-judgmental experience for clients. In this way, safety and relaxation will foster awareness and engagement. He also believes that self-care is vital for managing emotional and mental health. Dan looks forward to building a relationship with his clients to foster the change they seek.
Outside of work Dan enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
