Shannon Lebak, LCSW

Shannon Lebak is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at our Robinson clinic who provides therapy services in-person and via telehealth. She has over 15 years of experience in various aspects of both the mental health field. While she has extensive experience working with Bipolar Disorder, Depression, ADHD, and Anxiety Disorders. Her primary focus for the past 4 years has been helping people to overcome the negative impact of past trauma due to PTSD.

Shannon uses a blend of CBT, Mindfulness, Play Therapy, Anger Management, Family Focused Therapy, Trauma Focused Therapy, and EMDR to help children, teens, adults, and families. Her primary goal is to establish a strong rapport with her clients, support development of positive self-worth, and help people use their emotional challenges for real growth in their lives.

Shannon obtained her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She then relocated to Pittsburgh to complete her Master’s degree in Social Work and Child Welfare at the University of Pittsburgh. Shannon has provided care in various mental health settings – both at the inpatient and outpatient level – including Gateway, Jefferson Psychiatric Unit, Allegheny Crisis Services, mobile therapy, and community mental health. She is a Certified Expert Trauma Professional through the IIATP and an EMDR institute trained therapist.

Originally from the Chicago area, Shannon has lived in the Pittsburgh area for the past 17 years. She loves spending her time off with her family attending cheer competitions, swim meets, traveling, and taking photography.
