Clare Welsh, LSW

I am a provider at our Wexford – Stonewood clinic who provides therapy services in-person and via telehealth. My ideal client might just want a space to explore themselves and their identity. They might feel stuck or overwhelmed by their emotions, relationships, or patterns. They might want to make a change but feel unsure of where, or how to begin. They might want to share their story, process the past, or find meaning in their life. They might be going through a loss, or a change. They might struggle finding hope or connection and looking for a place to start. They might not know what they want out of therapy, yet, and that’s fine too. They might just want to rest in the company of someone who will listen.

I work at the intersection of individual care and social justice. Using a personalized approach, I help people understand themselves so they can build meaningful lives. I specialize in working with transitions, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and addiction. I am a trauma informed therapist with training in DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy) and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy).

Therapy is a place to explore issues that challenge you as well as things that inspire and excite you. You are welcome in my office no matter how you identity your gender, sexuality, or type of relationship you’re in. I take a personalized and collaborative approach to therapy. I think of the therapeutic process like a walk in the woods: you decide which direction to walk in, and our pace, and I provide some of the gear, the tools, lights, and maps you can use to take you to where you want to be.
