Cody Harmon is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at our Robinson clinic who provides therapy services in-person and via telehealth. He has experience in various aspects of both the mental health field and medical setting. He has extensive experience working with Depression and Anxiety Disorders, along with chronic disease, acute crises, trauma, and life transitions. His most recent focus has been helping people to overcome effects of trauma/dysfunction on their present day lives with an emphasis on lifestyle changes.
Cody uses a blend of CBT, DBT, ERP, Mindfulness, Trauma-Focused Therapy, and Lifestyle Education to help teens and adults. His primary goal is to establish a strong therapeutic alliance and rapport, and support development of positive mood and understanding of self while giving people practical solutions to help ameliorate issues in their day to day lives with the goal of remission of symptoms.
Cody obtained his undergraduate degree in Social Work from Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, WV. He completed his Master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Pittsburgh with a direct practice focus, clinical specialization. Cody has provided care in various healthcare settings – both at the inpatient and outpatient level – including Potomac Center in Hagerstown, Maryland, UPMC, Dialysis Clinics, Hospice, and Long Term Care, and previous private practices.
Native to the Northern WV Area, Cody has remained local to the greater Pittsburgh area for most of his life. He loves spending his time off working out, creating music, engaging in various lifestyle activities that challenge him, which he endorses in his practice.
