I really believe we all do “the best we can with what we have” and that sometimes we need to have more. We need new ways of looking at a situation, more skills to change a situation, and more resources to help with a situation. Figuring out what is needed and how to get it is my primary goal. My focus is on providing an opportunity to learn coping and problem-solving skills that you may have missed or did not quite develop enough to be effective. It is essential that we partner to look at the barriers that have impeded progress while working on this in the past alone.
I work with people with trauma, mood disorders, personality disorders, thought disorders, and substance use issues. I provide trauma informed treatment and use many modalities including ACT (Acceptance and commitment therapy), DBT (Dialectical behavior therapy), CBT (Cognitive behavioral therapy) and mind mapping.
If you are seeking treatment to heal from your past or improve your future, I can provide the tools that can empower you to take control of your outcomes.
