Leah Herman, LSW

I am a provider at our South Hills clinic who provides therapy services in-person and via telehealth.

Education: BA in Psychology, Chatham University
MSW graduate student at Wurzweiler School of Social Work

Recognizing one’s unique contributions, maintaining healthy relationships, finding meaning and purpose in life all contribute to a life well-lived. It is an honor to take part in each client’s voyage of discovery, to hear individual stories and experiences, and to offer support and compassion within a safe and therapeutic environment.

My passion for promoting mental health awareness is shaped by the many students I have taught and mentored in my 25 years of teaching. While mentoring teens, I worked alongside high school students, developing programs to educate teachers and students about mental health issues.

I work with children, teens, and adults and welcome the opportunity to explore life’s challenges alongside you. I recognize the courage it takes to explore history and patterns, and it is my intent to create a space of hope and connection within the therapeutic relationship. I utilize a combination of approaches, including psychodynamic and insight-oriented therapy, as well as narrative therapy to help shift thought patterns and promote healing and growth.
