I am a provider at our Monongahela clinic who provides therapy services in-person and via telehealth. Ideally, I am open to working with most clients. I have a lot of experience working with individuals with autism, depression, anxiety, bipolar, and schizoaffective disorders. The issues these clients have can vary, I am not too selective of symptomology with clients, but I do appreciate clients who are actively seeking proactivity, support, and are willing to accept challenges. I like to set small and achievable, but meaningful goals when I work with clients that will seek to challenge them, once they are to that point in their recovery.
I have a good bit of experience working with individuals with autism and improving their socialization skills and emotional regulation. I have a variety of activities and games that these individuals enjoy engaging in as it also teaches them these skills absently and actively. I am also a big promoter of role playing with clients with life situations and engaging mindfulness activities with clients. I am also not afraid to challenge them with their perspectives and show them different views of the world we are surrounded with.
I am very open to the prospect of working with any individual. I only seek to help everyone I work with meet their utmost potential. I have had several uncomfortable life experiences where I too had to grow and change as a person. It is anything but easy, but it is a process that takes time and repetition. I explore all facets of an individual as to further understand the entirety of the situation, while carefully asking questions and actively listening.
