The first step to developing a treatment plan that truly works for you is to evaluate and understand your symptoms and how they are impacting your life.
An Evaluation and Problem Assessment Will Include a Discussion of Behaviors and Symptoms That May Be Interfering With Different Aspects of Your Life
How do these behaviors or symptoms affect your work or school performance; relationships with others like spouse, family members, and coworkers; as well as involvement in activities and family life.
We will gather information about your personal and family history of emotional, behavioral, or developmental disorders as well as a medical and treatment history.
To develop a full perspective of your situation generally requires two sessions. The first is usually with a member of our team who is a mental health professional. They will gather information, suggest next steps, and arrange to complete the assessment phase by scheduling an appointment with a psychiatrist or nurse practitioner. While this takes place, you may get started with the initial sessions of psychotherapy.
