Medical Director
I am a board-certified Psychiatrist who completed both my medical school training and psychiatry residency program at West Virginia University. Prior to joining New Directions Mental Health, I was the Chief of Psychiatry at the Louis A Johnson Medical Center where I provided outpatient psychiatric services to veterans, developed and managed the Suboxone program and served on multiple committees to improve care as well as the operations of the facility.
I then moved to Highland Clarksburg Hospital where I managed the severe mental illness of forensic and civilly committed patients. I eventually became the assistant Chief Medical Officer focusing again on improving patient care and operations as well as ensuring adherence to regulations.
I first joined New Directions Mental Health to manage medical contracts and was then asked to step in as the Medical Director for New Direction Mental Health.
My focus is on our medical staff and the care they are providing to the community. I want our providers to feel supported and to have the tools they need to deliver effective, quality care that will make a positive impact on a patient. I work closely with the other members of our leadership team to ensure we are meeting compliance responsibilities and working towards our mission as an organization. Quality care should be accessible to all.
