Joseph Burgess, MHC

Mental Health Counselor

Hi, I’m Joseph Burgess, a master’s-level counselor dedicated to helping children, teens, adults, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges and create meaningful change. I offer therapy services at our South Side Flats clinic.

My background includes school-based therapy, family support services, child welfare, community mental health, and youth development programs. I take a warm, supportive, and collaborative approach, using evidence-based practices such as CBT to help with anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, self-esteem, and personal growth. My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered.

I create a warm, safe, judgment-free space where you can be yourself. I work with children, teens, adults, couples, and families facing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationships, and self-esteem concerns. Using CBT and a strengths-based approach, I help you build coping skills, increase confidence, and create real, lasting change.

I know reaching out for help can feel hard, and it takes courage to take that first step. You are not alone. I’m here to listen without judgment and meet you where you are. Together, we can build understanding, develop practical tools, and work toward the change you want at a pace that feels right for you. I look forward to supporting you on your journey.
