Awareness if the first step to change and I believe that once we become aware of needed change, then we can begin our journey to a healthier and happier life. My work experience includes working in residential programs for both mental health and drug and alcohol, working with individuals and families while looking at things from a multisystem approach. I utilize an array of treatment modalities and believe that everyone has strengths that can be used as levers for change. I have experience working with individuals with Traumatic Brain Injury which has allowed me to be more creative and think outside the box in my practice.
My ideal patient is someone who is seeking assistance with their personal struggles or goals and are willing to be open-minded and put forth some effort into making changes. I have worked with individuals treating their mental health, drug and alcohol and cognitive restructuring for those with a traumatic brain injury. Change is hard and uncomfortable yet can be so rewarding!
Taking the first step is huge. If you are looking for someone who is easy to talk with, caring and truly wants to encourage and guide you toward future goals, whatever they may be, please reach out. My goal is to build a working relationship where everyone can be honest and feel comfortable with their therapist and treatment. I take pride in my ability to be understanding, realistic and patient. As a busy mother and daughter, I spend much of my free time with my family and caring for my parents. I love animals and being outdoors whenever I get the chance.
