Shannon Manz-Wallace, MS, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

My ideal client is someone who is experiencing feelings of anxiety or overwhelm, often struggling to balance the responsibilities of their life or putting others first. I work with individuals navigating parent-child, sibling, or family conflicts that disrupt the harmony of their home. I also support those facing life changes that have led to symptoms of depression or fear about what the future holds. I help clients dealing with the impact of physical illness that has altered their plans or the vision they had for their life. Additionally, I assist those grappling with grief and loss, particularly when it involves accepting circumstances beyond their control. If you’re struggling to find your voice, have lost focus or motivation, or need help building inner strength to achieve your goals, I can provide guidance.

I have experience working with individuals across the lifespan, including both children and adults. I use psychodynamic psychotherapy to help clients process difficult emotions and build skills for coping with challenges. For those struggling to make behavioral changes, I utilize motivational interviewing to guide and support them through the process. Trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy is another approach I use to assist clients in healing from PTSD and overcoming traumatic events that may be holding them back. For clients dealing with anxiety or depression, I offer person-centered therapy, focusing on acceptance and developing healthy responses to stress. Additionally, I provide parent-child and family counseling to improve communication, strengthen boundaries, and build healthier relationships.

It is normal to feel hesitant to start therapy and it is hard to ask for help, especially if you’ve been let down before. I hope to balance compassion and coaching in a structured environment, allowing you to find healing and the strength to make growth and change. I have faith that recovery is possible for anyone, and I strive to create a safe space for empowering you to reach your potential; to find your peace. When you’re ready, I’m here to help you.
