I am a licensed and board-certified Physician Assistant. I was born and raised in Flint, Michigan and obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Michigan. I went on to receive his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Mount Union. Prior to working at New Directions Mental Health, I worked in both outpatient and inpatient psychiatry for over five years. I specialize in treating a diverse set of psychiatric disorders including treatment resistant depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, schizophrenia, OCD, and PTSD.
My ideal client is anyone who is ready to dive deeper into addressing their psychiatric needs. Whether they have had poor previous psychiatric experiences or are being seen for the first time, I am ready to provide a safe environment for patients to feel safe opening up.
Growing up, I always dreamed of working in psychiatry. While in college, I was exposed to the stigmas surrounding mental health when working at a homeless shelter. Since this time, I have dedicated myself as an advocate for those affected by mental health disparities. I understand how challenging it can be to find the courage to seek help. I am committed to providing empathetic care and ensuring that my patient’s feel comfortable during their visit. I believe in treating the whole person and look forward to developing an individualized treatment plan that best suits your needs.
