Mental Health Counselor
I am a clinician at our South Hills clinic who provides therapy services!
My ideal client is someone who’s curious about their inner world—even if that curiosity is mixed with fear, uncertainty, or pain. They might be carrying the weight of trauma or Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), wrestling with anxiety, depression, or emotional overwhelm, or trying to make sense of who they are in a world that hasn’t always felt safe or welcoming. Maybe they’ve been misunderstood, overlooked, or made to feel like they don’t quite fit. What they long for is a space where they can exhale—a place where they can show up fully, messily, and honestly, and still feel seen and accepted.
Their core needs include warmth, consistency, and someone who will walk beside them without judgment. They often struggle to trust, to set healthy boundaries, or to quiet the critical voice inside their heads. What they’re really seeking is permission—to feel what they feel, to be who they are, and to begin believing that healing is possible. For children, this might mean finding safe ways to express emotions and build social skills; for adolescents and young adults, it often involves exploring identity, purpose, and belonging in the face of pressure and uncertainty.
Many clients come without clear goals at first—and that’s okay. Sometimes, it starts simply with wanting things to feel less heavy or chaotic. Underneath, though, there is almost always a deep desire to grow, to heal, and to live more authentically. They want to move beyond surviving toward thriving, building resilience, improving relationships, and discovering a greater sense of self-confidence and meaning.
Together, we work to nurture self-compassion, make sense of overwhelming emotions, and develop practical tools to feel more in control of their story. I support them in breaking down their goals into achievable steps, honoring their pace and unique journey. Their quiet resilience and flicker of hope—sometimes barely visible—are where our work begins and blossoms.
As a therapist, my goal is to create a safe, compassionate, and affirming space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and respected. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating trauma, neurodiversity (including ADHD and autism), grief and loss, and identity-related challenges. My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from person-centered, narrative, and trauma-informed frameworks, as well as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), to meet you where you are.
I offer individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. In my work with children, I use play-based and developmentally appropriate strategies to help them process emotions, strengthen communication, and build healthy coping skills. I also collaborate with caregivers to ensure consistent support across environments.
I’m especially passionate about supporting adolescents and young adults as they navigate identity, life direction, and the transition into independence. This stage of life can feel overwhelming and uncertain, and I provide a space to explore those questions, work through self-doubt, and move toward a sense of confidence and belonging.
I also work with individuals who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), including early trauma, neglect, abuse, or instability in the home. These experiences can leave lasting emotional imprints, impacting how we relate to ourselves, others, and the world. My trauma-informed approach emphasizes safety, empowerment, and trust-building. I work gently and collaboratively to help clients process these experiences, build emotional regulation skills, and develop a stronger sense of self-worth and resilience.
Whether you’re seeking support for your child, navigating the challenges of young adulthood, or working to heal from early life experiences, I’m here to walk alongside you—with empathy, curiosity, and deep respect for your unique story.
Together, we’ll cultivate insight, build resilience, and develop practical tools to support meaningful, lasting change—always at your pace, and in a way that honors your values and strengths.
I want you to know that I see you—not just your struggles, but your strengths, your resilience, and the fullness of who you are. I understand that reaching out for help can feel vulnerable and sometimes even scary. You might be worried about being judged, misunderstood, or feeling stuck in patterns that seem impossible to change. My role is to create a space where those worries can soften, where you can be your true self without masks or pressure.
I believe therapy is a collaborative journey. I walk alongside you with kindness, patience, and genuine curiosity about your story. I’m not here to fix you or rush you—I’m here to support you in discovering your own path to healing and growth.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or just ready to explore what’s next for you, I invite you to reach out. No matter where you’re starting from or what you’ve experienced, you deserve a place to feel safe, understood, and empowered. Taking that first step can be hard, but you don’t have to do it alone.
I’m here to listen when you’re ready.
