With 7+ years of behavioral health experience in multiple settings and caring for patients throughout the lifespan as my primary focus, my ideal client may vary in age and present with varying conditions. They may present with mood disorders, anxiety, panic disorder, ADHD, Autism, schizophrenia, PTSD, and OCD. The patient’s needs may include pharmacotherapeutic interventions and psychotherapy, with goals for improved functionality and quality of life.
As a PMHNP with additional training, such as completion of the Master Psychopharmacology program by the Neuroscience Education Institute, I’m equipped to continue to care for patients along the lifespan with disorders such as mood disorders, anxiety, panic disorder, ADHD, Autism, schizophrenia, PTSD, and OCD.
Treatment options may include pharmacotherapy and, in some instances, in combination with psychotherapy.
I strongly believe in mental health and access to mental health services. As early as undergraduate nursing school, I wanted to specialize in behavioral health. I followed through on this by entering the behavioral health specialty after graduating. As humans, we all have unique challenges; sometimes, it is okay to ask for help. As a psychiatric provider, I believe it is also imperative to create a therapeutic, non-judgmental environment for my patients where they feel free to be open and honest so they may receive the best care.
