
Denise offers an eclectic approach to therapy by catering to her client’s individual needs with a focus on CBT, DBT, interpersonal therapy, and mindfulness skills with exploration into past experiences as needed. Denise works with adults with a variety of issues, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, recovery from trauma, relationship difficulties, adjustment issues, and severe and persistent mental illness.
Denise received a BS in Psychology and a MSW from the University of Pittsburgh. She spent six years conducting clinical research in neuropsychological and psychological testing with individuals with autism and Down syndrome, as well as working with military veterans with schizophrenia. Denise also has 15+ years of clinical experience providing therapy to adults and couples in an outpatient setting.
Denise is originally from the eastern part of Pennsylvania, and settled in Pittsburgh after enjoying all the city had to offer while completing her undergraduate and graduate programs at the University of Pittsburgh. Denise enjoys reading, listening to music, and being active with her family including engaging in and watching sports—basketball is her favorite!
