Licensed Professional Counselor

My name is Cory Wivell :-). I am a licensed professional counselor with the state of PA (LPC) at our Fox Chapel clinic who provides therapy services!

I have a passion for helping people. I am happy you’re here! You’re never a number with me. My goal is to provide you with a welcoming, nonjudgmental, and safe place to discuss the hard things in life. I have worked with a variety of age groups, including young children, teens, adults, and older adults into their 80’s. My approach is individual and eclectic, based on client needs. I do like to use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy when it is applicable.

The therapeutic relationship is an important one. I value collaboration when identifying what goals to target and I value input from my clients. I provide small homework assignments to encourage growth throughout the week. You will not feel like you’re back in school, but it is enough to help facilitate growth.

I sincerely look forward to meeting you and working with you! You are worthy, special, and wonderful always. Even if we only meet for one session or 100 I will be grateful we have had the chance to work together. I have been told I have empathy until it hurts. It is important to me that I provide quality care to my clients.
