Mental Health Counselor
[She/They]
Hi! My name is Lauren Zepp. I offer therapy services at our Monroeville clinic!
I have a background in psychology, human development and family studies, and I am a recent graduate of a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master’s program at the University of Pittsburgh. My experience primarily lies with teens and young adults, but I am passionate about working with individuals across the lifespan. I will walk alongside you as you navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, relationships, family difficulties, transitions, and more. I love identity work, and I would be honored to help you ask questions about yourself and explore who you really are.
Change and growth rely on having a comfortable, safe, and compassionate place to sit your struggles, thoughts, and feelings down with you. I build that space with a person-centered approach that meets you where you are. I specialize in LGBTQIA+ issues, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Relational-Cultural Theory, and trauma- and mindfulness-based strategies.
I know that it isn’t easy to acknowledge when you need help, let alone admit that to another person. Over time, we’ll form a relationship that becomes a crucial component to your healing and wellness. I’m excited to help find you strategies to cope with and process your feelings, and I’m lucky to be part of your journey, no matter where you’re at in it.
